Yours in Anonymity

In my experience, anonymity tends to unblock authenticity—as if it were a dull heap of sods and earth holding the fragile walls of ego against sagging beams of judgement, real or perceived. I choose to write, then, without claiming these words. But know as you read that they come from the heart: one that wants simultaneously to be known and unknown; recognised and ignored. One day I will come to trust the flying buttress of faith to prop my fragile yet noble self (and know that such spiritual support should always have sufficed). Until then, I remain yours and nobody's; present and yet an internet away.
